十月探索數位素養 系列活動圓滿落幕

2023年10月，東海大學素養導向高教學習創新計畫舉辦了一系列數位力活動，，這個系列活動的發起背後，是來自參與素養計畫的老師們課程融入新科技的需求。希望透過這系列活動擴展師生的數位工具運用，培養數位素養。
首場活動邀請了查特普拉斯共同創辦人許秉軒，主題是「如何用AI工具，開啟高效你的學習」。儘管活動以線上形式舉行，但許秉軒先生製造了互動機會，列舉了許多實際案例，並在每個概念後預留時間供師生進行實際操作練習。大家積極參與，許秉軒先生用月老姻緣的想法來想要如何告訴AI印象深刻。同時，我們在這場活動中認識並使用Vocol.ai和Gamma等兩款生成式工具。有老師表示，將於課程中「交叉使用幫助學生在英語寫作書寫，以及利用AI整合邏輯思考並用更流利的英語口說輸出」。此外，有學生分享「利用AI協助學習和生活，比如功課上有問題可以查詢協助思考更快，生活上想聊心事也可以跟AI聊」。
第二場邀請了文淵閣工作室執行長鄧君如，主題是「用 Canva 設計超快超質感 / 創意與協作」。鄧君如執行長親切而細心地介紹了Canva的界面，教導參與者製作宣傳海報、簡報，進行白板協作，以及使用Canva AI圖像生成等功能。即使是初次使用Canva的師生，也能在鄧執行長的教學下立即製作出出色的海報。同學熱烈反應，包括「能更加孰悉的使用 Canva 製作宣傳海報、課業上報告用簡報和使用白板功能進行線上討論」、「剛好下週有報告，馬上可以派上用場」、「我覺得專題海報的部分對於我未來製作畢業專題的海報很有幫助」。
第三場邀請到Joy to know 就去學執行長陳怡君分享「把資料變好用的整理術」。陳怡君執行長分析了資料混亂的原因，提供了解決方案，幫助參與者建立將資料整理得更有條理的概念。參與師生對於資料雜亂很有感觸，「會應用在學習資料的紀錄上，以前沒想過加日期，只有標題，所以有很多資料儲存時間不清楚，找起來非常困難；剔除不會用到的資料，有些資料只是下載來閱讀，但都沒有在讀完之後立刻刪除，就這樣一直留著占空間」、「資料夾分類層級過多確實增加查找的工序，將嘗試講師建議的『至多3層資料夾』原則。」
第四場仍由Joy to know 就去學執行長陳怡君分享「把資料變好用：用 Trello 做生活管理」。繼上一週分享資料整理技巧後，陳怡君執行長現在利用Trello數位工具，協助參與者建立有效的生活管理習慣，並介紹多人專案協作。師生回饋包括：「應用在與同學的分組報告中 留意代辦事項 以及紀錄共同討論成果」、「我會試著用trello來分類管理生活上的學習到的新資訊和新文章」、「講師在講完之後有附上習題讓有興趣的學生們進行操作，不會只有光聽懂但不會做的情況發生，這跟以往參加過的演講有蠻大的區別，因此讓我印象深刻。」、「將課程、社團活動分別建立看板管理，紀錄作業、考試、活動等等各種瑣碎及重要的事件」。
Tunghai University XPlorer project hosted a series of digital competency events throughout October of 2023. The inception of this series of events stem from the need to incorporate new technology into courses by professors participating in the XPlorer project. The project hopes to cultivate digital competency through expansion of utilization of digital tools for both students and professors.
The XPlorer project invited the co-founder of ChatPlus, Benjamin Hsu for the inaugural event. The theme was “How to Utilize AI Tools to Enhance Efficiency in Learning”. The event was held online, but Mr. Hsu still crested interactive opportunities, illustrated real life cases, and allocated time for teacher and students to have hands-on practice after each concept. The participants were actively engaged. Mr. Hsu also gave a vivid parallel analogy, just like when you ask Yeulao, the god of love, for marriage, you should be clear about the criteria, such as how tall, what major, etc, you should do the same when inputting commands for AI. From this event, the participants learned and utilized two generative AI, Vocal.ai and Gamma. One professor expressed the intention to incorporate AI, to “assist students in English writing through cross-use, integrate thinking and improve speaking.” One student also shared that they are “utilizing AI to assist academics and personal life. Like seeking assistance on homework, and discussing personal matters.
The second event invited the CEO of ehappy studio, Cynthia Teng. The theme is “Canva Design That is Quick and High Quality/Creative and Collaborative”. CEO Teng warmly and attentively introduced the interface of Canva. She also taught the participants how to design posters, presentations, conduct real-time collaboration using Canva whiteboard, and utilize Canva AI image generator, etc. Even first-time users of Canva were able to design outstanding posters. Students respond enthusiastically, stating “[I am] able to utilize Canva with more familiarity to create posters, class presentations and online discussion using whiteboard.”, “[i have] presentation next week, can immediately be put in use”, “I think the project poster part will be useful in the future when I design my graduation project poster”.
The third event invited the CEO of Joy to know, Antia Chen, to share “Organization Techniques for Better Utilization of Documents”. CEO Chen analyzed the reasons behind messy documents, and provided solutions to help participants to establish a systematic approach of how to organize documents. Participants can deeply resonate to the challenge of organizing documents, “[I] will utilize on learning materials, never thought about adding dates, only title, therefore a lot of documents had unclear storage time, making it harder to find; also to delete documents that will no longer be used, some documents are download to read, but didn’t immediately delete are reading, and take up space”, “having too many layers of folder add more steps when looking for documents, will try to utilize the principle of 『at most 3 layers of folders』”.
In the fourth event, the CEO of Joy to know, Antina Chen continued with her insight on “Making Data Easier to Use: Utilizing Trello for Life Management”. After sharing how to organize data, CEO Chen shared how to utilize the digital tool, Trello, to assist participants build effective life management habits, and introduced collaboration mode. The participants' responses include “will utilize in group projects, paying attention to do and documenting discussions”, “I will try to use Trello to categorize and manage newly learn information and articles.”, “the lecturer had attached some exercise for interested students, this avoided passive understanding without practical application. This is quite different from the other lectures I have attended before, leaving a lasting impression.”, “create separate boards for classes and clubs, keep track of various trivial and important events like homework, tests and activities.”
